If you have an interest in astronomy and would love to pursue it but have reached the point where the books and magazines just don’t seem to help, then you are at the point where a helping hand is what you need to get you going.  This course is aimed at the beginners who just want to know enough to get started in amateur astronomy. It will cover how to follow and observe the night sky, how to choose and use a telescope – or even binoculars – and where to go next as your skills and knowledge improve. Astronomy is a very wide subject and now covers sciences not even dreamt of 100 years ago. But the basics remain the same.

Class begins Monday 26-09-2022 at 19:30 - 21:30 in room BO59. The classes run for 8 weeks.
No equipment is needed but if you have equipment you are encouraged to bring it.
