On the emergence of the growing sugar craft trend in 2013 she merged her creative talents together to create a birthday cake for a family member, and posted it on social media. The overnight interest in her creative bake led Tracy to realise a passion was born. Operating from a purpose built cake studio in her hometown of Ballincollig, Co. Cork, Tracy solely produces one of a kind, homemade, cakes for her growing client base. Having acquired many social media followers over the years, Tracy became noticed by Irish celebrity clientele and subsequently produced fantastic wedding cakes for their big days, even personally delivering one of them to a castle in Florence, Italy and another to The Algarve, Portugal.
Class begins Tuesday 17-01-2023 at 19:00 - 21:00 in room EO52. The classes run for 8 weeks.
Even though sugarcraft is quite expensive at the beginning, you will soon realise that you will need every tool to complete every cake you design *Acrylic rolling pin (I find this the best, but whichever one you have at home is great) *Round cake board 12" *Round artificial cake dummy 6" or 7" or 8" (3 or 4 " high if you like) * 2 x cake smoothers *pack of sugarcraft tools * some corn flour in a dispenser/dredger *a small knife (straight, not serrated) *2.5kg fondant/sugarpaste icing (You could get better value from a 5kg box and will use it all) *250g pack of modelling paste/flower paste *some sugarpaste colours (optional) *cocktail sticks *tylo or CMC powder *a small jar with lid (for making glue) *Paint brushes (small i.e.1cm) *tea towel *cloth, or disposable anti bacterial wipes to clean down our areas before and after class *any sugar paste cutters/moulds you might like to use in class, do bring them along too if you like. *something to carry your cake home in the evenings with i.e. a strong box, or cake holder (no need to buy this) *hand sanitiser I know the list is long Hopefully you might have a good few items at home already. List of places to buy some of the above - www stuff4cakes.ie (order before 10am, receive delivery the following day. Very handy) - Mr. Price - Supervalu - Brennans Caterworld (upstairs in M&P O Sullivans) Looking forward to meeting you all
